A complete and clear description

Creating a good Product Requirements Document (PRD) is necessary to make a proper start in the design process. The PRD fulfils important functions during the design and construction process.

  • The PRD should incorporate current regulations and legislation.
  • Specific additional requirements of the customer must be implemented in the PRD.
  • During the design process, the PRD is used as a basis for decision-making and assessment.
  • The PRD is the basis for budgeting the investment costs.
  • The PRD acts as a contract document when awarding contracts.

It is therefore very important that the PRD is complete, clear and sets out all the predefined objectives. Differences of interpretation, and discussion, must be avoided. Hoefnagels Fire Safety would like to assist you during this process so that all fire-related requirements are correctly included in the PRD.
