Fire-resisting roller screen type Firescreen® 72
The fire-resisting roller curtainn is made up of a woven fabric of stainless-steel threads coated with a layer that foams up in case of fire.
Suitable for application in industrial, public, commercial and accommodation buildings for compartmentation.
Fire resistance:
- double-sided 60 min. max. opening area: 36 m2.
- double-sided 30 min. up to clear width of 12000 mm x 4000 mm (wxh)
TNO and KOMO attestations of equivalence in force.
Test results:
- tested and approved at Efectis/TNO according to NEN 6069 and
Buildings Decree (fire resistance) under no. 2003-CVB-R0235

Motor and controls
Fire alarm active
The Firescreen®72 fire resisting roller curtain is driven closed by a built-in 24 volt motor. ‘Fail-safe’ closure is ensured by two back-up batteries fitted in the Firescreen® Control box.
Reset after alarm
The screen may be ‘opened or reset’ using the switch provided after the fire alarm has been reset (signalling to the Firescreen® Control).
Closure on power failure
The roller cu is driven closed on power failure, actually only after a delay of 20 minutes. If the power is restored within this time, the screen will not close and will resume normal operation.
The Firescreen® Control box is user friendly and may easily be expanded with various functions. The control box normally works off 230 volts and converts this to 24 volts
The plastic case is provided with four lamps, which indicate the following:
- power supply present;
- battery voltage check;
- fire signal active;
- indication of a maintenance check.
The following functions are possible:
- connection to fire alarm unit and/or smoke and temperature detectors;
- two key switches.
