Product information on roller shutters

Hoefnagels has various types of roller shutters in its range. You can choose from steel or aluminium, single or double walled.
The roller shutters are suitable for security and industrial purposes, parking garages etc. 

The roller shutters can be manufactured with various accessories and options, including: 

- roll-to system:
This system displaces the upper roller horizontally while the armour is being rolled up and down. The opening between the roller and the lintel is thus closed off when the shutter is closed. By moving the upper roller, the armour always runs straight in the side guides, so that less wear happens to the slats and the side guides. This also serves to increase the lifetime of the roller door. 

- draught and/or noise seal
By fitting special side guides with rubber flaps or draught-excluder brushes in combination with a closure-lip section or brush section against the lintel beam, an optimal seal is achieved. 

- bottom rail safety
If, during closing, the bottom rail comes in contact with a person or object, the door stops closing. During a fire alarm (fire-resisting roller shutters), the roller shutter starts closing again after a delay of 3 seconds, and this is repeated until the obstacle is removed. 

- emergency manual operation
The motor is also provided with emergency manual control, so that during a power failure or motor fault the barrier can still be opened and closed. 

- storm guides
As extra resistance to vandalism and external influences, special guides and locking hooks are used, so that dragging out the armour is prevented. 

- marker strip
The lowest rail of the armour is provided with a black and yellow marker strip.
