Hoefnagels Group

The history of the Hoefnagels family business goes back to 1884 (Janssen-Wayers steam roller shutter factory) and 1906 (Hoefnagels smithy) and the merger in 1947 to a single company. Hoefnagels and Janssen-Wayers.
The company expanded to a modern enterprise, Hoefnagels Groep BV, which currently has two subsidiaries: Hoefnagels Brand- en Bedrijfsdeuren BV (Fire and Industrial Doors) and Hoefnagels Aluminium Gevels BV (Aluminium Facades). Since 2009 Hoefnagels may use the designation By Royal Appointment.

From its 8,000 m2 office and production area in Tilburg, with a support branch in the north of the country, the Hoefnagels Group serves the Dutch market in the field of fire-resisting doors and barriers, roller shutters, roller gates and Schüco aluminium windows and facadess.

With around 80 employees it is active daily in the development, engineering, production, installation and maintenance of these products. In doing so, Hoefnagels focuses primarily on commercial and residential building, the office market, industry, care institutions and government. 

All its products are made to measure, completely attuned to the requirements of the architect, client and legislation. 


Its 125 years' experience and the fact that the Hoefnagels Group has all the disciplines in the entire process in house and moreover commands the knowledge of design and installation of control systems with its own experts, demonstrates that it is a trustworthy partner in the building process. The ISO 9001 certificate, all Efectis/TNO tests and KOMO certificates and affidavits, as well as CE marking support this statement. Installation and fitting are for this reason carried out by our own tradesmen.

The board comprises Mr C.J.A.M. (Cees) Hoefnagels, general manager and Mr P. (Peter) van den Elshout, director of Hoefnagels Aluminium Gevels BV.
