Firescreen® Fire-resisting roller curtain
When the curtain falls, you are out of the fire. The Firescreen®72 fire-resisting roller curtain, developed by Hoefnagels in 2003, ensures immediate compartmentation in case of fire, so that the fire cannot spread further. The Firescreen®72 is a light-weight fire-resisting roller curtain made of technical fabric, which due to its compactness is easy to install in premises such as health care institutions, government buildings, offices, industrial buildings and museums.
The Firescreen®72 fire-resisting roller curtain can be connected to your fire alarm system so that it closes automatically in case of fire. Using the Firescreen® Control box developed by Hoefnagels, the roller screen will also close if the power fails.
Besides its compartmentation function, the roller curtain is perfectly suited for making existing outer walls fire-safe, to prevent fire spreading to premises adjacent or above. Price‑wise, the use of fire-resisting roller curtains is a good option in comparison with, for example, the installation of fire-resisting frontages.
The fire-resisting curtain complies with the standards laid down in the Dutch Buildings Decree. The screen can be manufactured in large sizes based on the Efectis/TNO report and extended applications. Efectis/TNO also carried out a test with respect to fire propagation and smoke production with regard to safety in escape routes. With the classification obtained, the Firescreen®72 complies fully with the requirements stipulated for this in the Buildings Decree.
